The annual Good Food Festival is right around the corner for South Loop and other Chicago district residents interested in healthy, sustainable, and delicious foods. For the first time ever admission to the final day will be completely free! The festival takes place March 16-18, with Saturday the 18th being open to the general public.
Information on better eating will be provided in a number of ways; there will be symposiums with talks and panels about the future of food as well improving your diet. In addition, there will be walk-up booths, chef demos, and an exhibit hall full of vendors sourcing all of the best foods in the area.
Be sure to check out the presentation of Good Food Chef of the Year 2017, awarded to Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp of Honey Butter Fried Chicken – Chicago. The two will also be providing an insightful demo after the ceremony.
For those looking to explore the ground roots of the operation, there will be an offsite bus tour lead by Breanne Heath to three new urban farms. The bus tour requires a small ticket charge.
